Baby Gavin

As many of you may know, I have become pretty emotionally attached to an unborn baby boy named Gavin. His mom found out at her 20-week ultrasound that, in addition to some other problems, Gavin has one polycystic distended kidney and his other kidney has "disappeared."

After crying and praying for Gavin one morning, I came downstairs to find my mother in law also in tears. She asked me to listen to something online that was just sent to her. I don't believe this was a coincidence. The link below is a phone call from a 12-year old boy in Texas who just lost something very close to him. Take a minute to listen:

A lot of you have joined my family in prayer for Gavin. His scheduled C-section is THIS THURSDAY (12-6) at 3pm. The doctors are saying there's a 99.9..% chance he won't make it. But, we all have faith that God can choose to heal Gavin. PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY THIS WEEK for a MIRACLE!

If you're someone who likes to pray for specific needs, here's what his mom requested prayer for:
1. Pray that when he's born he will be able to breathe on his own, or with very minor assistance. (Since his kidneys aren't functioning, the amniotic fluid was swallowed and not refilled in the amniotic sac. This causes lung problems since they need the flow of fluid over their lungs- primarily during specific weeks of gestation to allow the "terminal sacs" and other lung parts to develop properly.)
2. Pray blood work will show his kidneys are functioning.

Most of us have been so blessed with a healthy family. Let this be a reminder to all of us to enjoy each day with our children and continue to thank God for everything He has blessed us with.

49er Game

Awesome seats + Wayne & Shelly taking care of Ross & Rayna + 49ers winning in overtime

= A GREAT NIGHT!

Considering Matthew is the BIGGEST 49er fan
(and they were playing the Arizona Cardinals here), we knew that would be the perfect birthday gift! If you watched the game on Sunday, you'll understand the concerned look on Matthew's face. But, they came through in over-time! We had a great time!

Thanksgiving Day

After a yummy Thanksgiving lunch, we went to the park and enjoyed this awesome weather! Here are a few pictures of Ross' cousin Blane and Uncle Jeff (from Mississippi).

Family Pictures

Why take over eighty pictures of our family? In hopes of getting Ross to smile for just ONE of them. We (barely) got it.

Aaron & Hayley

Aaron & Hayley, I knew I had enjoyed myself when I got home and realized I'd taken over three hundred pictures this morning! (Love the dogs...love you both! Come by Tuesday and I should have everything ready. )

Rayna: 1 month old!

As Rayna and I watched Ross and Matthew play at Tumbleweed Park today, I had to take a few pictures of my sweetheart. She looked so pretty! (Thanks for the new outfit, Gina!)

Gilbert Parade

Although we didn't get to stay long enough to see Lifechurch.tv's float, we still had a good time at the Gilbert Parade.

What a STRONG little guy!

Ross loves hanging from the volleyball net at our park. He will even hold on if we push him back and forth!

April & Danny

Wow! April looked SO beautiful! (Danny, you looked nice too!) I already love weddings, but it is even better working with a couple who is so laid-back and fun!

Ross

Ross and his shades.

Yes, those are my high-heels...
Yes, Ross did have them on right before I snapped this picture...
Yes, I'm sure Matthew is happy that moment wasn't documented!

Rayna's Faces

Her smiles are wonderful, but I also love those sweet, little frowny-faces!

Ross & Rayna

Ross loves holding Rayna!

(Apparently, as witnessed today, he also loves trying to stick his little horse's leg into her ear. I'm happy to say I caught this experiment before any damage was done!)
