VERY SERIOUS...

I love Ross' new 'serious face.' He keeps us laughing.

I LOVE Ross!

Ross is the sweetest, happiest and funniest little boy! It seems like he's grown up so much since Rayna's been born. I love his creativitiy and imagination! Whether he's riding in his Jeep, picking flowers or pulling out the ingredients for chocolate milk, he's SO happy and excited!

Just hanging out...

What a relaxing night! The weather is starting to get cooler and we can't keep Ross indoors! (Especially when he knows Matthew will swing him around in circles!)

Jennifer & Matt

Congratulations, Matt and Jennifer!
I met Jennifer in kindergarden and still remember how adorable she was growing up. I'm excited our girls will grow up being friends like we were.
I can't wait to meet their baby girl in a few months!!!

Arizona State Fair

We wanted to do something fun with Ross, so we loaded up and spent a few hours at the Arizona State Fair. Although at first it didn't feel like true 'fair weather,' it cooled down and we got to enjoy the animals and rides. Ross LOVED the roller-coaster (as you can see from his face in the pictures)! He kept saying, "More, Da-Da! More, Da-Da!"

Rayna Claire is here!

After checking in on Thursday at 10pm for an induction, we had our baby girl at 10am the next morning. It couldn't have been a better experience. The nurses were exceptional and, most importantly, we were blessed with another healthy baby. Thank you, God.
(Rayna was 7 lbs and 11 ounces and 21 inches long.)

Matthew

I found out two years ago that Matthew was the most incredible dad ever. But after having another baby, I am reminded again of how blessed I am.

As I woke up during the middle of our first night in the hospital with Rayna, I saw him quietly getting Rayna wrapped back up after a diaper change and bottle feeding. It was then I realized I had fallen asleep during her last feeding too.

Someone at the hospital was impressed with Matthew's abilities to wake-up every three hours to feed, change and document Rayna's activities. She made the remark that Matthew was a great "help." Although I've heard this a hundred times, it's still funny to me. Matthew has never "helped" me. I can say this because there's never been a day when Matthew hasn't given 100% as much to Ross or our family as I have.

Very early this morning I watched Matthew's tired and aching body climb off of the tiny couch he'd been resting on the last 18 hours. He checks on Rayna and then crawls in the hospital bed with me. So as we turn off the lights and curl up together in a bed made for one, I sleep better than I have in three months.

Picking Pumpkins

We went pumpkin picking the afternoon of my induction. It was nice spending time together before leaving for the hospital.
