Adam Trevor Ross

In Loving Memory of Adam Trevor Ross

Proverbs 3:5
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
and lean not unto your own
understanding."

"I have tried to honor that promise to God, it's been through many tears and sometimes some "why's" but I love God with all my heart and so thankful for Him. You never really know how you will cope when something tragic happens in your life but with God we are never alone, I am thankful for that."

Through the journey, Adam's mother has become an advocate of detecting the early warning signs of stillbirth. On behalf of Adam's family, please read this information below and pass it along to others.
Stillbirth Warning Signs
1. 10-15 hiccups per minute occurring more than four times in 24 hours.
2. Extreme hyperactivity (especially during maternal sleep)
3. Constant Braxton Hicks contractions (constant tightening of the uterus)
4. Fetal quivering
5. Very strong kicking
6. Localized uterine pain

Misty and the kids

I met Misty at a Lifegroup at our church. I remember telling Matthew that night, "I want to be Misty's friend."
When I first went to her house, I started noticing photographs of her kids she had taken. After digging a little deeper, I found out she, like me, has a passion for photography!
We've shared a lot of tips, ideas and coffee! She's a wonderful photographer, person and friend!
(On a side note, I think she's crazy for saying she's not photogentic! She looks gorgeous in photographs!)

I love watching Ross discover new things. He loved pretending his shadow was an animal.
Rayna tried to stay awake for the walk around the neighborhood. But, there's only so much strolling a baby girl can stay awake for!

A Balancing Act

Should I let Ross balance his little, plastic turtle on Rayna's head?

I was about to tell him no when I realized:
Ross is laughing at himself.
Rayna is amused with Ross' laughter.
No one is crying... Everyone is happy...

Let the balancing game continue.

Riley is Here!

Jennifer, Matt and Riley are doing great. She is so beautiful and sweet! (And, so far, she's a great sleeper!)

Baby Natalie

Misty and I took pictures of Natalie and Rayna yesterday. Before going to bed, I just had to post a few of my favorites.

Does it get any cuter than Natalie?

I don't think so! Just look at her!

Poor Ross....

After 5 days...
4 different doctors...
1 panicked trip to the emergency room...
and 4 different prescriptions,
we are finally starting to understand what happened to Ross' eye that caused swelling and extreme irritation.

Poor Ross has been such a sweetheart this week. I know he's in pain, but he's hasn't complained once. He is the most wonderful little boy!

(The pictures were taken on Tuesday. His eye was completely swollen shut by the next morning.)

A Sweet Moment

I had just started pulling my camera out to take a few pictures of Rayna when I saw Ross climb up beside her. I quietly tucked my camera away and watched as their little hands naturally grew closer to one another. As they sat silently together watching a movie, Rayna leaned against her big brother while Ross continued to hold her little hand inside of his. What a sweet moment!

Schnepf Farms

We went to Schnepf Farms on Saturday. The weather was awesome and it got us out of the house for a while.
Rayna was deep in thought....

...while Ross tried to kiss a pig.

New Haircut!

Wow! We didn't realize how overdue Ross was for a haircut. We love his new style! (Thanks for the idea, Misty!)
